For years and years, I created seasonal bucket lists for our family. We’d print them out and stick them to the fridge and use them all season long to help us be intentional about doing some fun, seasonal activities. We still do lists at Christmastime, but we’ve fallen out of the habit of doing it the rest of the year.
I’ve really missed the fun and excitement of a fresh bucket list every season, so I’ve decided to bring it back! We have spring break in our neck of the woods starting this week, so it felt like the perfect time to whip up a little list of fun to help us make the most of the spring season, and I thought I’d share our ideas with you!
These lists always take me quite a bit of time to put together. I’m very picky about what I put on them, because the big, long lists with dozens and dozens of items just stress me out, and I don’t want to put anything on the list that I won’t be excited to do right alongside the kids. So, it’s a delicate balance of coming up with things that will feel new and fun to do (and not just something we’d do any other day) but that won’t feel like a burden when it’s time to do them.
This year, of course, presents a special challenge since we’re still hunkering down here and avoiding too many public places or anyone outside of our little pod. So, I tried to come up with activities that would feel safe and where we wouldn’t have to stress at all.
Jackson is already beside himself with excitement over getting started on this list (he barely let me get through writing this post because he was so eager to read it over my shoulder), so I think it’s probably safe to say it’s going to be a hit!
